About Me
I began a serious pursuit of audio production as a student at Finger Lakes Community College in Upstate New York. While there I learned much about the fundamentals of audio recording. I earned my associates degree in four semesters and completed a full length EP for The Daniel Bennett Group as my final project. I also took advantage of a special independent study in live sound reinforcement with Robert Potter, an experienced engineer with more than 30 years in the business.
I then went on to pursue a baccalaureate degree in Sound Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design where I was accepted on a full scholarship. I have been fortunate to work on many projects both inside and outside of the classroom. These projects have broadened my abilities to include sound effects editing, music editing, and production audio for film.
In fall of 2009 I became a certified ProTools HD 8 Operator for post-production audio, and later that year I worked on a top-ten entry to the Coca-Cola Refreshing Film Maker award entitled Makeshift. In the spring of 2010 I was fortunate to work on a project to record a cover of the Crosby Stills Nash & Young song “Almost Cut My Hair” and was granted synch rights by SONY to include it in the graduate thesis film Crowded Company.
Most recently I have been recording a brass quartet album with SCAD faculty member, Robin Beauchamp, and also working as a scoring engineer and re-recording mixer for the upcoming feature Space Jockey Pursuit. In my mind there are few more rewarding jobs than working in the field of audio production, whether for film or music.
